To Inquire

Thank you for your interest in planning an event at Castlebridge Farm! We enjoy hosting our family and friends and look forward to learning more about your upcoming celebration.

Our Space

Castlebridge Farm is situated on 10 acres in Howard County, Maryland, three miles east of Clarksville. The property is our private home and working flower farm, and we welcome your use of our bank barn and its surrounding outdoor space for celebrations or other events.

The barn is a 40 x 60 timber frame bank barn built in 2020. It seats 125 indoors with space for a dance floor.

The upstairs space includes three large chandeliers, electrical outlets, wide sliding barn doors on two sides, and a person door on another. The downstairs space includes a concrete floor, running (non-potable) water, two sinks, work tables, and space for caterers and other vendors to prep.

You are welcome to use the lawn space immediately surrounding the barn as part of your event space, including the outdoor hose bibs. During your walk through (see below), we will point out the go/no-go spaces on the property.

There are no restrooms, tables, chairs, projectors, screens or other decor items on site.

Except for any necessary farm work, you will have exclusive use of the space you reserve.

To Inquire

Your first step is to meet with us and walk the property. Contact Kim Adkinson, kim@castlebridgefarm.com or 443-744-1782 to request a walk through.

It is especially helpful to identify a point of contact for the day of your event, and, if possible, invite this person to attend the walk through with you. The more people who are familiar with useful things about the property (property boundaries, light switches, power outlets, water hookups), the better.

Once your walk through is complete, you are set to schedule your event. Message kim@castlebridgefarm.com or 443-744-1782 with this info:

  • Event date and type
  • Start and end times
  • Number of guests
  • Any vendors that will need access to the lawn (e.g., tents, restroom trailers)
  • Day of contact person and contact number

We will reply to confirm that your date is available and recommend a donation amount (see below). You and your vendors are welcome to set up/tear down two days before and after your event. You do not need to schedule their arrival; the barn is always open to them.

Donation

We kindly request a donation to Castlebridge Farm commensurate with your event type, number of guests, and the amount of time you and your vendors will spend on the farm. We will make a recommendation upon learning more about your event.

Vendors

We place no restrictions on vendors but do require that any vendor serving alcohol secure a one-day liquor liability policy naming Castlebridge Farm, 4888 Castlebridge Rd, Ellicott City, MD 21042 as additional insured.

If any vendors will need to access or use the lawn (e.g., tents, restroom trailers, food trucks), please let us know and work with us to choose the best spot to locate them. We want to minimize wear and tear on the lawn.

Rain Date

We will absolutely work with you to schedule a rain date should you choose to reschedule your event due to inclement weather.

Driving Directions

Follow Castlebridge Road to the end of the Riverwood neighborhood, then keep going past the mailboxes onto the private road. Drive for a half mile until you pass a small vineyard on the right. Immediately turn right, then a quick left to park at our barn on the gravel drive. Pull as far forward as possible to allow others to park behind you.

Please exit the way you came, turning right when leaving our parking area.

Things to Know

Please arrive before your guests and take responsibility for directing them, monitoring their compliance with the guidelines below, and ensuring that they depart immediately following your event.

We will always be available by text but may not be on site during your event. Please do your best to familiarize yourself with the property and ask all questions beforehand.

We also ask that you:

  • Park only on the gravel drive or grass in front of the barn. Do not park past the trees that surround the grass or on/alongside the unpaved road in front of the barn.
  • Please ask your vendors to remain on the gravel drive for all deliveries.
  • Do not venture beyond the spaces outlined during your walkthrough, including beyond our property.
  • Do not enter any buildings on site without permission or touch/use farm vehicles, tools, or equipment.
  • Do not drink the water at the barn. It is untreated well water.
  • Do not use any items in the barn (e.g., buckets, baskets, vases) without permission.
  • Do not lean heavy items (e.g., stacks of chairs) against the barn doors. They will dislodge from their tracks.
  • Avoid photographing our private home and any member of the public (our family, staff, customers, vendors) without their prior consent.
  • Do not use smoke bombs, glitter, confetti, lasers, open flames, sparklers, fireworks, or other items that may leave residue or interfere with nature. Helium balloons are acceptable if secured during the event and removed afterward.
